Rapper Rich Homie Quan died of a toxic mix of fentanyl, alprazolam, codeine and promethazine, and his death was ruled accidental, authorities in Georgia said Tuesday. The Fulton County Medical Examiner found his body bore no signs of trauma, according to an autopsy report obtained by People. Though THC was also in his system, it had nothing to do with the 34-year-old’s Sept. 5 death at his Atlanta home, the report said, according to TMZ. Quan’s brother, Lamar, told police he found the rapper asleep on the floor near the kitchen, with food in his mouth, at around 3 a.m., People reported, citing an incident report. He said he then put the musician on the couch. That was where Quan’s girlfriend, Amber Williams, found the “Type of Way” rapper a few hours later, not breathing and with no heartbeat, according to 911 audio obtained by TMZ at the time. Williams initially thought Quan was asleep, but later that morning he was still o the couch after she dropped her son off at school, she said. When she went to move him, he started foaming at the mouth. Quan, whose given name was Dequantes Devontay Lamar, was father to five kids. He was laid to rest after being celebrated at the World Changers Church International in South Fulton, Ga., on Sept. 17 in a funeral open to fans and livestreamed. His estate later released a posthumous song and music video that included footage from the funeral.
