28-Year-Old Driver Pronounced Dead after Wrong-Way Accident near Mile Post 303 WALLA WALLA COUNTY, WA (October 1, 2024) – Salvador Beltran was killed Saturday morning, in a wrong-way crash on westbound State Route 12. The incident occurred at approximately 3:10 a.m., near milepost 303 on September 21st. According to reports, a 40-year-old man driving eastbound veered into oncoming traffic. This caused a head-on collision with a westbound vehicle driven by 28-year-old Beltran. Despite life-saving efforts, paramedics pronounced Beltran dead at the scene. In addition, the wrong-way driver sustained injuries and was transported to Kadlec Medical Center. Authorities suspect the driver was impaired at the time of the crash.
