Geauga Park District announced that there are still some openings for upcoming archery classes. To attend any of these naturalist-led sessions, register at www.geaugaparkdistrict.org under “Programs & Events” or by calling 440-286-9516 between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Programs in October will be held at Chickagami Park’s Archery Range – participants are asked to arrive 15 minutes early to walk to the range – while programs in November and December will be held at The Rookery’s indoor archery range, according to a news release. Chickagami Park is located at 9160 Robinson Road in Chardon and The Rookery is at 10110 Cedar Road in Chester Township. The programs are: • Archery Practice for ages 9 and older — Oct. 3, 10 to 10:30 a.m. and 10:45 to 11:15 a.m. To sign up, participants must have previously completed the Introduction to Archery session • Archery Games for Adults — Oct. 3, 3 to 4:30 p.m. To sign up, participants must have previously completed the Introduction to Archery session • Introduction to Archery for Families — Oct. 19, 10:30 a.m. to noon • Introduction to Archery for Adults — Oct. 19, 3 to 4:30 p.m. • Archery Camp for Kids ages 12-15 — Dec. 30, 1 to 4 p.m. All participants must be at least 9 years old, be 50 inches or taller, and wear closed-toed shoes, the release stated. The required waiver can be completed in advance or onsite.
