As this soggy pattern persists, we're now on our 11th day of recorded rainfall across the DMV. Scattered showers have been crossing through since sunrise, with a batch of steady rain staying stuck over DC for the last several hours. Despite this constant rain, flooding concerns are all but over, with no additional Flood Watches in place. A Flood Warning is still in place along the Shenandoah River in Northern VA and WV as water levels rise there, but elsewhere no other issues are expected. Coastal flooding will continue through tomorrow morning, but as conditions improve, even that will let up. We will wave goodbye to Helene's remnants later today as showers slowly start to end. Drier conditions are expected tonight with areas of fog. A cold front will sweep across the region on Wednesday, ushering in the much drier air we've been yearning for. The front will take some time to move east, so clouds will still be hanging around until late afternoon. A few spotty showers could form along the mountains with the passage of the front, but totally dry conditions are likely for most locations. We finally see some clear sky by Wednesday night, with sunshine breaking out in abundance on Thursday. Temperatures will warm up because of the added sunshine, pushing into the upper 70s for the end of the week. Another front is expected to pass by on Friday, bringing a few additional clouds but minimal rainfall. Behind this second front is where we will feel a burst of crisp autumn air for the start of the weekend. Sunny skies on Saturday and Sunday will keep afternoon temperatures in the 70s, but at night, it will feel chilly, with lows dropping in the 40s and 50s. After a quiet few days, our next chance of unsettled weather comes early next week. A stronger front from the north will spark isolated to scattered showers next Monday, followed by more chilly air into the middle of next week. Hang in there with the umbrellas one more day, and have a great rest of your Tuesday! 7-Day Forecast: Today: Cloudy and foggy with scattered showers.
