Deadly crash on I95 in Richmond claims life of 23yearold man

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Virginia State Police is investigating a deadly crash that happened over the weekend in Richmond.
Around 2:08 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29, a deadly crash occurred in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95, approximately 200 feet north of Broad Street.
According to state police, a 2012 Hyundai Elantra was traveling north in the southbound lanes of I-95, when a 2016 BMW 6 was unable to avoid hitting the car head on. The Hyundai spun out and was hit again by a 2021 Honda Civic.
Police identified the driver of the Hyundai as 23-year-old Liam Oliver Mancuso Palma of Henrico, who died on the scene. He was wearing a seatbelt.
The driver of the BMW was taken to the hospital for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Honda was not injured.
Virginia State Police is still investigating this crash.
