HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- About 500 people attended the inaugural Regional Recovery Day at the Henrico County Sports and Events Center Monday afternoon. During the event on Monday, Sept. 30, attendees learned from addiction experts, got connected with community resources and participated in activities. Attendees received training on how to administer naloxone, which is used to revive someone after an opioid overdose. Some attendees also had the opportunity to try AcuWellness, a type of acupuncture reportedly used to "promote relaxation and treat cravings." The event was organized by Henrico County, Chesterfield County, Hanover County and Richmond.
