NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WLNE) — A 27-year-old man will be held without bail after prosecutors said he strangled his mother to death after an argument in Narragansett. Bryan Wilson was charged with second-degree domestic murder, as well as breaking a no contact order. Wilson had previously plead no contest on a simple assault charge back in February. His mother, Hawazoe Robinson, was found deceased at their home on Inkberry Trail Monday. Wilson appeared in Washington County District Court on Tuesday morning. “They hadn’t heard from that person in a few days,” Detective Lieutenant Ryan Prest told ABC6. “So we went up and did a wellbeing check, and our patrol officers located the party deceased inside of the residence.” Prosecutors said Wilson confessed to choking his mother to death after getting into an argument with her. “Officers entered the residence and located the female victim deceased in the living room. The defendant was given his Miranda rights and stated he had gotten into an argument with his mother and had choked her to death,” said Narragansett police in court. “The defendant was transported to the police station where he was interviewed and confessed to killing his mother.” He’s due back in court on Oct. 9.
