Police: Narragansett man accused of strangling mother to death

NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WPRI) — A Narragansett man was arraigned Tuesday morning after his mother was found dead in her home.
Police were initially called to the Inkberry Trail home on Monday for a well-being check.

While responding to the home, police say the suspect, identified as 27-year-old Bryan Wilson, called 911.
He reportedly told the dispatcher that he choked his mother after getting into a fight and that she was dead. When police arrived at the scene, Wilson was immediately detained.
Police said the investigation is ongoing. The victim has not yet been identified.
Wilson is charged with murder and violating a no-contact order. He was held without bail.
The case was referred to a grand jury. Wilson will appear in court again on Oct. 9.
