HUNTINGTON COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - A section of US 24 by Parkview Huntington Hospital will be under construction for more than a week, the Indiana Department of Transportation announced. Starting on or after Tuesday, a stretch of US 24 will be closed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on weekdays to work on the SR 9 bridge going over the road. Work is expected to wrap up by the morning of Oct. 12, INDOT said. Crews will not be working over the weekend on Oct. 5-6. While the road is closed, the recommended detour is to use the exit and entrance ramps at the interchange with SR 9 to continue on US 24.
