BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A man accused of killing a 71-year-old woman in Wasco made his first court appearance Monday. Felix Vasquez-Hernandez, 42, pleaded not guilty to a charge of first-degree murder and was ordered held without bail. He's due back in court Oct. 10. Sheriff's officials say deputies were dispatched Sept. 24 to the 13000 block of Wildwood Road to a report of a stabbing. They found the woman dead and arrested Vasquez-Hernandez. No other details have been released.
