We're kicking off October today and we're off to a mild, foggy start. A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for a large portion of the area through 9 AM Tuesday. Several schools are on a two hour delay this morning. A full list of delays can be found here. The fog mixes out mid morning. We keep the clouds around but will have breaks of sunshine too. It will turn breezy as a cold front travels over the state. This front brings the chance for a few isolated showers this afternoon and evening. The passing of this frontal boundary sets us up for some chillier mornings but sunny, dry days. We've had a lot of mild mornings with temperatures starting in the 60s. This is well-above average for this time in the morning, this time of year. Our average low temperature is 51° on this date. We get back closer to this average Wednesday morning and on through the extended forecast. We see big changes over the course of this month. Our average high temperature falls from 72° on the 1st to only 59° by the 31st. We also lose 1 hour and 13 minutes of daylight. The rest of the week looks fantastic with plenty of sunshine and comfortable afternoon temperatures.
