Former President Jimmy Carter is getting a White House-sized salute to mark his 100th birthday, with a display honoring his history-making centenarian status. A "100" installation was unveiled on the North Lawn at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. on Tuesday, timed to coincide with Carter officially hitting the milestone birthday. "Happy Birthday President Carter," a message alongside the triple digits read. Carter, the country's 39th president, was in office from 1977 to 1981. He's the first former president to ever reach the century mark.   In a video message ahead of Carter's birthday, President Biden praised the ex-commander in chief, saying, "Mr. President, I admire you so darn much." "Your hopeful vision of our country, your commitment to a better world, and your unwavering belief in the power of human goodness continues to be a guiding light for all of us,” Biden said in his birthday tribute. Jill Biden has often utilized giant outdoor displays to mark festive occasions. Last February, an installation featuring a Valentine's Day card "to America" was erected on the North Lawn of the White House. The "100" dedicated to Carter is expected to be exhibited through the end of the day on Tuesday.
