RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Heavy rainfall in Virginia on Monday, particularly towards the western part of the state, has prompted some Central Virginia school divisions to close or delay opening on Tuesday. On Tuesday, Oct. 1, the following school divisions will be closed due to weather: Albemarle County The following school divisions will be on a two-hour delay on Tuesday due to weather: Fluvanna County As of the time of reporting, these and multiple other Central Virginia counties, such as Buckingham and Cumberland counties, are under a flash flood warning issued by the National Weather Service (NWS).
