FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) -- A luxury event center will once again be available high above downtown Fort Wayne, as Catablu and BluSpoon Catering announced plans to open at the old Summit Club space in the PNC Bank building, 110 W Berry St. La Vetta Luxury Event Venue will be a "sophisticated venue featuring expansive skyline views and elegant design" according to a news release sent Monday, targeting weddings, corporate events, and exclusive gatherings. The Summit Club closed in 2009 after decades of serving high-end clients from the 25th and 26th floors of what was then called the Fort Wayne National Bank Building. The space later became Empyrean Events, which closed suddenly after the COVID-19 pandemic. “We are thrilled to introduce La Vetta to Fort Wayne,” Maureen and Mike Catalogna, founders of La Vetta, said in a release. “Our aim is to deliver an unparalleled event experience that merges innovation, style, and breathtaking views. After years in the events industry as founders of Catablu and Blu Spoon Catering, we’re excited to bring Fort Wayne a fresh, elevated venue experience. The revitalization of the top two floors of the PNC Tower and the creation of La Vetta were designed for those seeking a unique and exceptional setting.” The release said La Vetta would open later this year.
