FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Schools are well versed with grading students, but what grades would schools be given if they were up for examination? Niche has a system for that - and according to their most recent rankings, Fresno County has a lot of Bs. Collectively, the statistics reveal that of the 20 districts ranked in Fresno County, 30% are operating at a B level. The rankings are based on data from the U.S. Department of Education, along with test scores, college data, and ratings collected from millions of current students, alumni, and parents. In addition to surveys on overall experiences, the final letter grade given to each school is determined by six categories: academics, teachers, diversity, resources and facilities, clubs and activities, and sports. Academics account for 50% of the final grade, while teachers account for 15%. Diversity and survey scores account for 12.5% each, resources and facilities account for 5%, and clubs and sports each account for 2.5%.
