Syracuse, N.Y. — City residents will continue having access to electronic bike and scooters for at least three more months, but Syracuse lawmakers hope to convince the company providing them to improve operations. With the city’s initial contract with California-based Veo set to expire on Sept. 30, Mayor Ben Walsh’s administration asked the Syracuse Common Council to approve a three-year extension. But following a Sept. 17 council committee meeting in which lawmakers expressed concerns about some aspects of California-based Veo’s operation, Councilor Corey Williams asked for the contract vote to be delayed.
