PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) -- Portsmouth police are asking for the public's assistance with locating a homicide suspect they consider armed and dangerous. Detectives say 65-year-old Tony Anthony McKeithan is a suspect in the homicide of Marvin Hatcher. He has been charged with murder in the 1st degree, malicious shooting, discharge of a firearm in public, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, school zone, and use of a firearm. Previous Coverage: PPD: 1 dead after shooting on Gilmerton Avenue On Sept. 24 around 10:20 a.m., Portsmouth police responded to the 300 block of Gilmerton Avenue and found a man suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Medics pronounced the man dead at the scene. He was later identified as 38-year-old Marvin Lamar Hatcher. Police consider McKeithan to be armed and dangerous.
