In Orleans, a new child care center in Central City will be constructed on Freret Street totaling nearly $5 million. The property is in walkable distance to Al Davis Park and will be completed by CDW Services LLC. A vacant firehouse at 2312 Louisiana Ave. will be converted into a mixed use commercial/residential development. The property has been vacant for at least 20 years, and the area has seen consistent development into a hub for multifamily property.
