NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Finding a ticket to one of Taylor Swift's shows in New Orleans is already difficult, and now hotel rooms are "swiftly" selling out ahead of her Eras Tour. "Taylor tourism, or Taylor takeover, whatever it may be, we can't wait to have her here in New Orleans," said Kelly Schulz, the vice president of communications with New Orleans & Company. Swifties are counting the days until her Eras Tour stops in New Orleans, and tourism leaders are getting ready to count those dollars. Schulz went on to say, "This is going to be a fantastic weekend. Probably one of the best we've ever had in terms of hotel occupancy." Finding a hotel downtown may be just as difficult as snagging a Swift ticket. "We know hotels will sell out around the region with so much demand and excitement. Of course, the rates are based on supply and demand and there's a tremendous demand," Schulz said. Over at Virgin Hotels New Orleans, just blocks away from the Caesars Superdome, they're ready for it. "Come Taylor Swift time we will be packed with Swifties," said Cody Bertone, the general manager of Virgin Hotel New Orleans. "We'll have an experience on the rooftop for $25, part of it will be makeup and glitter stations, as well as friendship bracelet making and Taylor-themed cocktails. Just everything you will need before you walk over the Superdome," said Bertone. Guests can expect a two-course prix fixe boozy brunch served from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a performance based on Taylor’s albums for $49 per person. The schedule is as follows: Friday, Oct. 25 – Midnights Saturday, Oct. 26 – Reputation Sunday, Oct. 27 – The Tortured Poets Department In addition to brunch, guests will have access to a glitter bar featuring Elektra Cosmetics. This Is Our Era: Swifties Pre-Concert Party at Virgin Hotels New Orleans Oct. 25-27 Virgin Hotels New Orleans is hosting three days of pre-show at Dreamboat fun with DJ entertainment, photo opportunities, airbrush tattoos and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks with the New Orleans Girls Club from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event will also include a friendship-making bracelet bar with The Bead Shop.  "We are grateful to Taylor Swift and her team for choosing New Orleans. If you recall, New Orleans is one of only five cities that was added to the tour. I don't know of any other city that can say within six months that they are going to have three Taylor Swift shows, a Super Bowl and a Mardi Gras. Who else can say that besides New Orleans?" said Schulz. The Eras Tour will take place at the Superdome on Oct. 25, 26 and 27.
