ABITA SPRINGS, La. (WGNO) — A Bogalusa man was arrested after a traffic stop led to a drug bust in the Abita Springs area on Monday, Sept. 23.

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office reported that deputies pulled over a pickup truck near Hillcrest Boulevard and Louisiana Highway 435 for a traffic stop around 10:30 p.m.
While conducting the stop, STPSO deputies allegedly found the driver, identified as 49-year-old Luke Jenkins, to be in possession of about 4.75 ounces of suspected methamphetamine, vials of suspected testosterone (anabolic steroid), prescription pills and "drug paraphernalia consistent with the use and packaging of narcotics."

Jenkins was arrested and faces charges of possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II, possession of legend drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, no license plate light and illegal window tint.
