RACINE, Wis. (WFRV) - A sheriff's office in Wisconsin made its 12th and 13th child pornography arrest after cyber tips led to the apprehension of a 54- and 36-year-old. In July of 2024, investigators with the Racine County Sheriff's Office's Internet Crimes Against Children Unit received a cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children of someone in Racine uploading child pornography. Marinette County man dies in ATV crash, alcohol and speed appear to be factors The investigators were able to develop a suspect, 56-year-old Tony Radunz. On Sept. 25, 2024, investigators executed a search warrant in the 700 block of Aurthur Ave. While investigators located and seized many electronic devices, Radunz was interviewed and allegedly confessed to possessing child pornography. He was transported to the Racine County Jail. Wisconsin Circuit Court records show that Radunz is facing 14 counts of possessing child pornography. He made his initial court appearance on Sept. 26, where a cash bond was set at $100,000. In August of 2024, investigators received another cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about an individual possessing child pornography. During the investigation, 36-year-old Dimas De Leon was identified as a person of interest. On Sept. 26, authorities served a search warrant in the 3600 block of Pierce Blvd., during which investigators seized numerous electronic devices. The initial forensic examination uncovered numerous images of child pornography, and eventually, De Leon allegedly admitted to owning multiple Google accounts containing child pornography. Wisconsin Circuit Court records show that De Leon made his initial court appearance on Sept. 27, and a cash bond of $50,000 was set. Racine County Sheriff Christopher Schmaling commented on the two arrests, saying his deputies will stop at nothing to protect children. "I am astounded by the number of perverts in our own community that choose to collect and view child pornography, fueling the victimization of children," stated Sheriff Schmaling. "The Sheriff’s Office remains committed to conducting these investigations, putting pedophiles in jail, and protecting our children.” Oshkosh Police Department identifies two suspects in connection to vandalism incident at South Park Radunz is scheduled to return to court for a preliminary hearing on Oct. 2, while De Leon will return for his preliminary hearing on Oct. 3.
