FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - It took Fort Wayne Firefighters four minutes to bring a house fire in the 4700 block of Oliver Street under control Monday afternoon.
Nobody was home when firefighters arrived at the house just after 3:30 p.m. Firefighters used "an aggressive interior attack" while searching for occupants, according to a media release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department. The fire began in the kitchen and extended to the attic, the release said.
The cause of the fire, which caused moderate damage to the home, is still under investigation.
