LSP: Mississippi man accused of traveling to Baton Rouge for sex with teen arrested

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A Mississippi man was arrested in Baton Rouge after being accused of attempting to engage in sexual intercourse with a juvenile.
According to the Louisiana State Police, an investigation started by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and LSP Special Victims Unit identified Bruce Wells as a suspect accused of attempting to engage in sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old.
State police said on Sept. 28, Wells traveled from his home in Tylertown, Mississippi to Baton Rouge to allegedly engage in sexual acts with the minor.
Wells was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a charge of attempted felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Wells has a bond amount of $50,000, according to jail records.
This is an ongoing investigation.
