BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The Kern County Coroner's Office has released the identity of the woman who was killed when her vehicle was rear-ended in east Bakersfield Saturday night. The office identified Lorena De La Torre-Luna, 47, of Bakersfield Monday afternoon. Jesse L. Martin returns to ‘Irrational’ thinking Around 11:14 p.m. De La Torre-Luna's vehicle was parked on the north curb of East Truxtun Avenue and Miller Street when a Dodge Durango traveling westbound slammed into the back of her vehicle. De La Torre-Luna died from her injuries at the scene. The passenger of the victim's vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition on Sept. 28., according to BPD.
