BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The countdown to the 8th Annual Bakersfield Marathon has begun, with the event just six months away. The Boston-qualifying race is set to take place on March 30, 2025, offering a full marathon, half marathon, 10K, and 6K starting at the Kern County Museum and passing through Downtown Bakersfield. Runners are encouraged to sign up early, as organizers expect a record-breaking 3,000 participants this year. Current fees are $138.20 for the full marathon, $101.70 or the half marathon, $59.30 for the 10k, and $54 for the 6k and virtual run/walk. Special offers are available for group entries, runners under nine can register for the 6K at a flat rate of $25, and teams of 15 or more get a 15% discount on registration. KGET is a sponsor of the event, which will also include the Health & Wellness Expo Presented by California Resources Corporation.
