WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is investigating a homicide after a 1-year-old child died in Northwest D.C. over the weekend. According to MPD, on Saturday, Sept. 28, just before 11 p.m., officers responded to a home in the 3700 block of Connecticut Ave. for the report of a child in cardiac arrest. Responders took the child to the hospital. However, despite lifesaving measures, the child, identified as 1-year-old Journee Moore, of Upper Marlboro, Md., died. DC police identify man killed in shooting near Nats Park during game On Sunday, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia determined that Moore had suffered from multiple blunt force injuries, ruling her death as a homicide. Police are asking anyone with information to call them at (202) 727-9099 or text a tip to 50411. MPD currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
