ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Two Rochester-area nursing homes made a national list of "Best Nursing Homes" — one of them ranking at the top. Jewish Home in Brighton — formerly known as Jewish Senior Life — was ranked first for New York on Newsweek's Best Nursing Homes for 2025. This is the fourth year this facility made the list. Jewish Home ranked first for a facility size of over 150 beds, 362, certified beds, Medicare and Medicaid accepted, and is a continuing care retirement community, according to Newsweek. Meanwhile in Webster, The Maplewood Nursing Home ranked first on the list in terms of a facility size between 50-99 beds, 74 certified beds, and Medicare and Medicaid accepted.
