DORCHESTER, Mass. (WWLP) - A Dedham man is the winner of a $25,000 a year for life prize from the Massachusetts Lottery’s “Lucky for Life” game. Winning ‘Lucky for Life’ lottery ticket sold in West Springfield According to the Massachusetts Lottery, Joseph Lacey of Dedham claimed his prize on Friday after the first five numbers on his Quic Pic ticket matched those of the September 20th drawing. Lacey chose the cash option and received a one-time payment of $390,000, before taxes. Joseph Lacey (Massachusetts State Lottery) Lacey said that he plans to buy a new motorcycle and share the rest of his winnings with his wife. The ticket was purchased at Boston Elks Lodge #10 on Morrell Street in West Roxbury. “Lucky for Life” winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their winnings. Massachusetts State Lottery prizes that expire then become part of the net profit that the Lotteryreturns to the Commonwealth for distribution to all 351 cities and towns. The drawings are conducted seven nights a week.
