BROCKTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Brockton officials are being credited for saving a raccoon that was stuck in a traffic poll. According to Brockton fire, when their team arrived at station 1, they heard a screeching coming from the backyard. After a short investigation, they found a raccoon had climbed into one of the traffic polls. Animal control was called and a rescue mission ensued. After cutting the pole, with the little help of soap and water, the raccoon was free to go. Officials said the raccoon will be relocated by animal control in a better part of the city.
