SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) -- The South Dakota Highway Patrol has announced sobriety checkpoints will be conducted in 14 different counties during the month of October.
‘Finally living’ after a 20-year addiction
According to a news release, the following counties will be checkpoints.
Beadle
Bennett
Brookings
Clay
Codington
Custer
Fall River
Jerauld
Lawrence
Marshall
Meade
Minnehaha
Pennington
Walworth
The monthly checkpoints are designed to discourage people from driving impaired. The checkpoints are funded by the South Dakota Office of Highway Safety and conducted by the South Dakota Highway Patrol with the help of local law enforcement.
