MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A man accused of a fatal shooting at an apartment complex earlier this month in South Memphis was arrested on Friday by the U.S. Marshals Service and Memphis Police Department. Emmanual Sampson, 27, is charged with first-degree murder. Latonya Livington, 33, is charged with accessory after the fact: to wit first-degree murder. ORGINIAL STORY: 2 dead after shooting in South Memphis, Frayser Emmanuel Sampson, Latonya Livingston (SCSO) On September 11, police say Amareus Henderson was found shot to death at the Montgomery Place apartments in the 1400 block of Kansas Street. On September 19, a warrant was issued for Sampson's arrest. On September 27, Sampson was found by the MPD Fugitive Apprehension Team in the 1700 block of Kansas Street. When he refused to come out of the home, USMS was called to the scene. Woman dead, man detained after shooting, police chase After more failed attempts to get Sampson to surrender, the front door was forced open. Sampson was taken into custody at that time without further incident. Latonya Livingston was also inside the home with Sampson. She was then arrested and charged. Both suspects were taken to the Shelby County Jail. Livingston has since been released from jail on a $10,000 bond.
