Deputies searching for missing 9yearold boy from Sibley, Missouri

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Jackson County Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing 9-year-old boy from Sibley, Missouri Monday morning.
According to deputies, Liam Smith was last seen in the area of North Buckner Tarsney Road and Santa Fe Street -- less than a half-mile east of downtown Sibley -- at about 6:45 a.m. Monday.
He is described as a 9-year-old white boy with brown hair and blue eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a gray tank top, black or gray shorts, and blue/white Converse shoes.

Deputies said Smith may be developmentally/intellectually disabled and has run away in the past. He was previously found wading in the Missouri River, near Homer's Landing at 32301 East Atherton Sibley Road.
