Where to find resources around the Midlands as SC continues to recover after Hurricane Helene

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Anyone in the Midlands with power can check out these resources as the state still recovers from Hurricane Helene.
Town of Batesburg-Leesville:
The town hall is operational for resources for people. Depot Park will be restored with another generator, which will be operational until 7 p.m.
Sandwiches are available at Depot Park from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. and an evening serving from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m.
Lexington Medical Center in Leesville has water and snacks available while supplies last, according to the Town of Batesburg-Leesville.
Newberry:
The Newberry YMCA is open for anyone in the community that need a place to shower.
People who arrive to the YMCA should go to the member services desk when you arrive.
Forest Acres:
Rockbridge Club has opened some of its facilities to the public so people without resources can go to the pool house for a hot shower, or the hall to charge their devices and get some AC.
The hours of operation are 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Fairfield County:
Shower facilities will be available on Monday, Sept. 30, in Fairfield County for those still experiencing a power outage/loss of water at Fairfield Central High School from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
