Libraries in the Midlands open to the public during power outages across the Midlands

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Libraries in the Midlands are offering resources to the public as people deal with continued power outages in the Midlands.
According to a social media post, all 10 Lexington County Libraries are open.
Officials say all locations are offering Wifi, electricity, and cold water fountains.

Batesburg-Leesville Branch Library
Cayce-West Columbia Branch Library
Chapin Branch Library
Gaston Branch Library
Gilbert-Summit Branch Library
Irmo Branch Library
Lexington Main Library
Pelion Branch Library
South Congaree-Pine Ridge Branch Library
Swansea Branch Library
Also, Richland Library is encouraging residents and visitors in the county to stay connected at one of its 12 open locations.
People can stay connected with reliable wifi and charging stations for electronic devices.
Officials say there are dedicated spaces for children and teens designed to keep students engaged and support learning while school is out and to support e-learning with age-specific digital learning resources.
In addition to the library’s physical collection, customers can access digital content such as books music, movies, and more with Hoopla and Libby.
Richland Library North Main remains closed on Monday 9/30, due to a power outage, but fornately services are available at Richland Library’s 12 other locations.
