POWHATAN COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Powhatan State Park will host a ranger-led event on Friday where attendees will learn more about foraging for edible plants. From 3 to 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, visitors will join a ranger on a walk and discuss as the group searches for edible plants. Attendees will learn how to identify certain edible plants and practice foraging in a respectful way. Participants should bring water and wear comfortable hiking shoes. The walk will span less than a mile on a mostly flat trail.
