CHIMNEY ROCK, N.C. (WNCN) -- Much of the village of Chimney Rock has been wiped out by massive flooding from Helene, according to reports from the village. "The damage is unimaginable," rescue crews from Pamlico County said in a social media post, along with photos. Chimney Rock is along U.S. 64 hugging the Broad River in Rutherford County. Pamlico County staffers in Chimney Rock rescued four people and evacuated 106 people along with two dogs and two cats.
