Officials ordered a new evacuation in the Line fire Sunday, Sept. 29, nearly a month after the fire was first reported. Residents were ordered to evacuate from the community of Seven Oaks, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office said Sunday afternoon. Emergency personnel were actively working in the area and firefighting aircraft were on order. The order comes as smoke from the Santa Ana River drainage is causing smokier air in the area Sunday, according to the San Bernardino National Forest. “We are *expecting* this fire activity,” the forest said on social media. Forest officials encouraged residents to take additional precautions with the smoky air. Highway 330 remained closed in both directions from Highland Avenue in Highland to Live Oak. As of Sunday, the Line fire, which was first reported Sept. 5, was 83% contained and measured at 40,219 acres. Justin Wayne Halstenberg, 34, of Norco was arrested and accused of setting the fire in Highland. Officials believed he had set other fires, but didn’t release a motive.
