HOUMA, La. (WGNO) — Rougarou Fest is returning to Houma for another year of fun and Cajun folklore this October. According to a news release, guests can head to Houma Civic Center on Oct. 18, 19 and 20 for three days of music, food and culture. Festival organizers said attendees can expect a nutria pardoning, costume contests, a wolf howling contest, a Krewe Ga Rou parade and two new additions, including a Rougacon and a Rougarou Trail. They said the Rougarou trail will offer festivalgoers "a delicious journey through Houma's local eateries" with local vendors offering Rougarou-inspired food and drinks, including Gris-Gris Shrimp Boulette from Cajun Cookin' and a Rouga-Rita from La Carreta.
