MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md.(DC News Now) -- Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service said three people and two dogs were displaced after a house fire in Gaithersburg. Credit: MCFRS Credit: MCFRS Crews said that at about 6:45 p.m. it was dispatched to Rolling Knolls Ct off Goshen Rd for a single-family house fire on the second level. First responders said neighbors walking by notified the residents in the home of smoke coming from the roof. Credit: MCFRS Credit: MCFRS Crews said there were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire was an electrical malfunction because an old attic exhaust fan overheated and caught nearby combustibles on fire. First responders said the damage is of about $150K.
