Happy Sunday, DMV! Today will not be the pick of the weekend as gray and soggy conditions will roll back into the DMV. This is all thanks to a slow-moving storm system in the Ohio Valley. By all means, today will not be a complete washout but make sure to have the umbrella before heading out the door today. Patchy fog will be seen as we head through the first half of the day. Highs will struggle to get out of the 70s due to the added cloud cover. By tonight, some heavier pockets of showers will be possible with overnight lows dropping into the 60s. Patchy fog will once again develop across portions of the area, and linger through the first half of the work week. That slow-moving storm system mentioned previously will continue to inch closer to the DMV through Monday, providing spotty showers throughout the day. Highs Monday will be a bit cooler than today struggling to get out of the upper 60s to lower 70s. We copy and paste the forecast heading into Tuesday as the storm system will begin to push offshore. Scattered showers and a few rumbles of thunder will be possible Tuesday. However, Tuesday does look to be the coolest day out of the week with highs struggling to get out of the 60s. That storm system will finally be out of the area by Wednesday, however, a cold front looks to dive into the DMV early Wednesday morning and this could spark up a few stray showers.
