4.2magnitude earthquake strikes Monterey County

(BCN) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 struck Monterey County at 2:47 am Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The quake, which had a preliminary magnitude of 4.4, was reported 1.8 miles northwest of the town of Aromas and 5.5 miles east of Watsonville. It was measured at a depth of about 4.6 miles.
