ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — As Helene's remnants continue to spin away over Kentucky and Tennessee the wide reach of the former tropical system is being felt here in Western New York as an outer band of rain is dampening our Saturday. We'll see rain, mist, drizzle, and generally overcast skies for the remainder of the night. Lows won't fall to far at least generally sitting in the 60s thanks to the clouds. Sunday will feature much of the same as the day before. Scattered showers, mist, and drizzle will be likely throughout the day, especially in the morning before a VERY slow wind down through the evening hours with overcast skies filling the gaps. Temperatures will sit in the low 70s, so not too cool, but also not overly warm. Overnight lows stay in the 60s once again due to the stubborn clouds. Our work week will start off dry. For Monday, cloudy skies will remain dominant early on with a slow clearing through the day. Temperatures won't react much to the change though staying in the 70s. Tuesday, we get ahead of an approaching cold front and manage to tick up a few degrees towards the mid-70s for highs, we'll see some sun in the first half of the day before clouds build during the evening ahead of the front which is set to pass overnight into Wednesday with a solid round of rain for everyone. Rain lingers into Wednesday morning as the front takes it's exit to the east. Behind the front now highs will be stymied settling into mid to upper 60s. Sunshine returns for Thursday and Friday, with highs making a return to a seasonable low 70s reading for both days. 8-Day Forecast It seems as though rain chances start working their way back into the forecast for next weekend. While it's still too early to know the specifics, let's worry about getting through this weekend and work week before worrying about next weekend!
