While we had some breaks from the rain produced by what's left of Hurricane Helene earlier today, the rain is falling, again, tonight. You can expect scattered rain throughout this evening and occasional periods of rain to fall during the day tomorrow. Our sky remains cloudy, but the potential is there to see the sun peek out, at times, during the day ahead. Additional rainfall amounts this weekend will be less than a half-inch, though there may be some isolated pockets of heavier rain and higher totals. Rainfall amounts from 7 pm Saturday through 11 pm Sunday will be less than a half-inch across the region The strong, gusty winds that the remnants of Helene brought Friday are done. Our top Friday gust was close to 50 mph! By comparison, the top breezes tomorrow will only be around 25 mph. That's still a noticeable breeze, but it shouldn't blow your umbrella out of your hand. Sunday's top wind gusts will be around 25 mph from the northeast. Tonight's temperatures fall out of the 70s and into the 60s. The lowest temperatures will be in the low 60s by daybreak. Sunday's afternoon temperatures will be at seasonal levels, in the low 70s. Sunday morning temps start in the 60s and rise into the 70s. The periods of rain that fall during the day Sunday will become more and more scattered by evening. By Monday, we'll be left with only a slight chance of a sprinkle or two. Monday's highs will be in the mid-70s. October begins Tuesday and we start the month warm with a high of 78°! There's a cold front coming through, though, and Wednesday's highs drop to the upper 60s. However, above average temps in the 70s return Thursday and stick around through next weekend. Tonight: Cloudy with scattered rain.Low: 63°Winds: NE 5-10 mph Sunday: Cloudy.
