SALISBURY, N.C. – A 14-year-old was shot and killed while walking on a street in Salisbury on Friday night, according to police. Around 7:30 p.m., officers responded to North Fulton Street near Salisbury in regards to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a 14-year-old suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Novant Hospital with life-threatening injuries and died once he arrived at the hospital, police said. Investigators determined that the victim was walking on North Ellis Street when he was shot. Police said he was able to walk to North Fulton Street before collapsing.  No suspects have been arrested at this time.  This incident remains under an active investigation.
