ISLE OF PALMS, S.C. (WCBD) - The Isle of Palms Police Department will host its award-winning National Night Out event on October 1, 2024, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Isle of Palms Recreation Center, located at 24 28th Avenue. The event will feature emergency vehicle displays, information tables, free food, handouts, and prizes. Several organizations and community partners will also be on hand to meet residents and answer questions. National Night Out aims to strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the community, promoting a sense of unity. “We are excited to invite our community to join us Tuesday for National Night Out 2024.” Said Chief of Police Kevin Cornett. “Building a strong relationship between the Isle of Palms Police Department and the community we serve is essential for creating trust and ensuring public safety,” Cornett said. Millions of people across the U.S. and abroad participate in this annual event, which fosters positive interactions between neighbors and police.
