A children’s program which includes a discussion about trains and a take home craft. This program is recommended for ages 5 to 10 years old. New Funding for Violence Intervention ProgramsNew Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin announced this week that $14.5 million in competitive grants will be available statewide for Community-Based Violence Intervention Programs. The funding will start in 2025. CBVI Programs aim to stop cycles of violence through a public health approach, and include strategies like mentorship and street outreach.The Department of Law and Public Safety is now accepting applications from community service providers for CBVI work. Detailed information can be found in the Notice of Availability of Funds. The NOAF and associated grant documents can be accessed here. The deadline for submitting a complete application to [email protected] is October 21, 2024.
