Lakeland Community College is inviting all students, community members and related industry professionals to attend its free Real Estate Information Night from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Oct. 2 inside the T-Building atrium on the school’s campus at 7700 Clocktower Drive in Kirtland. This event will connect attendees with local professionals, ready to discuss getting started in residential and commercial real estate, including representatives from Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, Diversified Homes, Global Real Estate Advisors, Howard Hanna, Keller Williams, and Real Brokerage Technologies. Additional topics will detail licensure, income potential, work-life balance and career path development, officials noted. Local real estate firms interested in attending can contact Program Chairperson Connie Golden to participate. According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, “industry growth” in the real estate sector is expected to continue over the next decade, with 2023 median pay listed at $56,620 per year. “We’ve organized this community event to bridge the gap between aspiring real estate professionals and seasoned experts with success in the industry,” Golden said. “While our professional guests will offer invaluable real-world perspectives, Lakeland faculty will be on hand to discuss our real estate certificate programs. “Notably, both our real estate agent and broker certificates are now available fully online, offering greater flexibility for students.” While registration for guests is encouraged, it’s not required, the school confirmed. To reserve a spot or join the event roster of real estate experts, visit lakelandcc.edu/realestate or contact Connie Golden at 440-525-7340.
