Providence man arrested in Webster for allegedly cashing fraudulent check

WEBSTER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Webster Police Department said that a Providence man was arrested after allegedly attempting to cash fraudulent checks and fleeing from police.
29-yearold Shamiel Perry was charged with uttering false check, forgery of a check, disturbing the peace, and disorderly conduct.
Police said Perry was attempting to cash a fraudulent check on Sept. 25.
An officer attempted to stop Perry as he left the bank, when Perry allegedly fled.
Police eventually caught, and bank employees said the check was from a company that “did not usually issue checks to individuals” for $2,845.89.
Perry also had arrest warrants out of Seekonk and Southborough for false checks.
