By Rafael Perez Carson High School Safe Grad Committee is busy planning our twelfth annual Fun Run. This year we are starting a new tradition of holding our 5k event on Veterans Day to honor all who have served. It is the primary fundraiser for Carson High Safe Grad Celebration, an annual Carson City tradition established in 1988. The Safe Grad Celebration is a graduation night event that provides a safe, FREE, and drug-free environment for graduating seniors to revel in their accomplishments. As a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization, we rely on sponsorship to continue this tradition. Veterans Day Fun Run on Monday, November 11th at 9:00 a.m. Event will be held at Korean War Veterans Memorial Park (600 Marsh Road) with the 5K course consisting of two laps along Riverview Park Full Loop Trail. Calling all local businesses Sponsorship is only $250 and includes your company logo printed on all race material, including a full-color event bib, and posted on the Safe Grad website and social media sites. Although t-shirts and swag bags are not planned, you are invited to provide any marketing material at event check-in and to display a banner or sign along the course. An inflatable arch is planned and will include a poster listing all sponsors. Also includes two race entries for your company.
