Honor Flight Kern County set to take off Tuesday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A Kern County group of veterans is set to take off to the nation's capital on Tuesday. The group leaves for Washington D.C. on Oct. 1 from Meadows Field. Organizers say they will return on Thursday when community members are invited to welcome Kern's heroes home at 7 p.m. from Meadows Field. 17's Kevin Charette will be providing coverage of the trip.
